The picture to the right shows the condition of Rosie during the first 6 months of 2008.
As you can see from this picture all of her breast feathers are plucked. This was a result of her own self mutilation, why she removed them is a mystery. It's not due to any form of disease, she also appears happy and content were her living environment.
The 3 pictures below were all taken during October 2008. As you can see Rosie has now grown all her breast feathers back, the reason she suddenly stopped plucking is unknown. One theory I have that at the age of 13 she might be getting broody. From time to time watching the live webcam you can observe Alfie preening Rosie, his affection towards her could possibly have helped.
